Salesforce Winter ’27 Adds Mass Screen Flow Actions in October 2 Release

Salesforce began the second Winter ’27 production rollout on October 2, 2026, bringing a new mass-action Screen Flow capability to production orgs scheduled for that upgrade window. The change lets users select multiple records from a list view or related list and pass their IDs into a Screen Flow through a mass quick action, reducing the need for custom bulk-processing workarounds. Winter ’27 Expands Screen Flow Beyond One Record

The Salesforce Screen Flow release notes describe the feature as a way to run a Screen Flow against multiple selected records from a list view or related list. The flow receives the selected record IDs, so admins can build interactive bulk actions that collect input, validate records, and update them in one user-driven process. (help.salesforce.com)

This is different from launching a Screen Flow from an individual record page. Users can select several records, open the configured action, and work through one screen-based process. Suitable use cases include bulk status changes, owner reassignment, or collecting additional information before updating a group of records.

The Flow Must Accept the Selected IDs

The implementation requires a Text Collection variable named `ids`, configured to accept multiple values and marked as available for input. The selected record IDs are passed into that variable, after which the flow can retrieve the records and apply its own logic. (salesforceben.com)

Admins also need to create a Flow action on the relevant object and add it to the applicable list view or related list. The action should be tested with the same permissions and record volumes used by end users, especially when the flow triggers additional automation, validation rules, or record updates.

Availability Depends on the Salesforce Instance

The October 2 rollout does not upgrade every Salesforce org at the same time. Salesforce lists September 4, October 2, and October 9 as Winter ’27 production arrival dates, with the exact window determined by the org’s instance. The Winter '27 release schedule directs administrators to check the Maintenance Calendar for the applicable production date. (admin.salesforce.com)

Most production instances are scheduled for overnight upgrade windows spanning October 2 to October 3 or October 9 to October 10, so administrators should confirm that the target org has completed its upgrade before testing the new Flow action in production. (belmarcloud.com)
