Error saving delivery activity in salesforce marketing cloud journey
Every time you change something in an email template, you need to clear the cache. Unfortunately, there’s no button for this – which, now that I think about it, would be a good feature request for Salesforce.
To clear the cache, you either need to pause the journey and restart it, or go into the delivery activity, preview the email template, and then click Done. This triggers a short loading process (you’ll see the carousel), and once it’s finished, the cache is cleared.
There was also a trick to clear the cache in bulk, but we found that it doesn’t always work reliably.
So, while doing the manual refresh by previewing the template, you naturally want to make the process as fast as possible. That usually means opening multiple templates across different Journey Builders. But when you start hustling two or three templates at the same time, your speed is rewarded with: Error saving activity

When you save a delivery activity, it somehow references the source from the last delivery activity you edited in another browser tab. It’s as if the system mixes up your context between tabs, which makes absolutely no sense.
The only solution? You have to do it one at a time.
