Salesforce Q2 FY27 earnings arrive today as Agentforce growth faces a sharper test
Salesforce reports fiscal Q2 2027 results today, August 26, 2026, after the market close, and the immediate test is whether Agentforce and Data 360 can support the second-half growth acceleration management has been promising. Salesforce confirmed the timing in its Q2 FY27 earnings webcast notice, with the call scheduled for 2:00 p.m. PT and 5:00 p.m. ET.
Salesforce Q2 FY27 earnings arrive after the market close
The setup is unusually tight because Salesforce has already given investors a narrow operating target. In May, the company guided for Q2 FY27 revenue of $11.27 billion to $11.35 billion and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $3.25 to $3.27 in its first-quarter fiscal 2027 results.
Consensus sits close to the top end of that range. A same-day Salesforce Q2 earnings preview from TalkMarkets, citing Invezz, lists expectations at $11.32 billion in revenue and $3.27 in EPS, while TipRanks’ Salesforce earnings outlook puts expected revenue at $11.33 billion and EPS at $3.27.
That leaves Salesforce with little room to win on headline numbers alone. In practice, a clean beat matters, but the market is more likely to focus on whether the company can show durable demand in forward-looking metrics, especially current remaining performance obligation.
Agentforce and Data 360 revenue are central to the Salesforce AI story
Agentforce remains the center of the earnings debate because Salesforce has made agentic AI the strategic bridge between its mature CRM base and a new growth cycle. In Q1 FY27, Salesforce said Agentforce ARR reached $1.2 billion, while combined Agentforce and Data 360 ARR reached nearly $3.4 billion, up more than 200% year over year.
Those numbers are strong on paper, but the market question is whether AI adoption is expanding the core contract base or mostly showing up as early pilots, bundled upgrades, and existing-customer expansion. That distinction matters because Salesforce is no longer being valued simply as a high-growth SaaS company. Investors want proof that AI agents are becoming a paid operating layer across sales, service, marketing, Slack and data workflows.
The cleanest signal will be how much momentum Salesforce reports for Agentforce, Data 360 and Slack within bookings and cRPO. If AI products are growing but not lifting contracted revenue visibility, the market may read the quarter as another sign that Salesforce has a credible product story but a slower monetization curve.
CRM stock reaction depends on cRPO and second-half guidance
Salesforce guided in Q1 for Q2 current remaining performance obligation growth of about 14%, or about 13% in constant currency. cRPO is important because it measures contracted revenue expected to be recognized over the next 12 months, making it a practical read on near-term backlog rather than only past-quarter revenue.
A cRPO result near or above guidance would support management’s argument that growth can reaccelerate in the second half of FY27. A softer number would do the opposite, especially if management keeps full-year revenue guidance intact by leaning on Informatica contribution, cost discipline, or foreign-exchange assumptions.
Salesforce’s Q1 commentary also raised the bar by saying more than 50% of Agentforce and Data 360 bookings came from existing customers. That is useful expansion motion, but tonight’s report needs to show whether the same products are broadening deal scope rather than staying concentrated among customers already deep in the Salesforce stack.
Informatica contribution complicates the Salesforce organic growth read
Salesforce’s guidance includes acquisition impact, which makes organic growth harder to judge at first glance. The company said its Q2 revenue outlook included slightly more than four points of contribution from Informatica, while its full-year FY27 revenue guidance of $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion included about three points from Informatica.
That means the more important question is not only whether Salesforce reaches the expected revenue number. It is whether organic growth, excluding acquisition help, looks strong enough to support the second-half acceleration narrative.
For operators watching Salesforce as a CRM and marketing technology platform, the earnings call should clarify how Salesforce is packaging AI across Agentforce Apps, Data 360, Slack and headless platform capabilities. For investors, the sharper issue is whether those products are now large enough to offset slower growth in legacy application lines and keep Salesforce’s revenue profile in double-digit territory.
